Sun Clock is designed for Microsoft Windows. There is no version of Sun Clock for Macs. Sun Clock will run on Windows 98 or ME, though we strongly recommend Windows 2000, XP, or Vista. You may find that the "night lights" do not display correctly on On Windows 98/ME. We recommend 256Mb of RAM or more. The best depth of colour is achieved using a good quality LCD or Plasma screen. Sun Clock can be used on an 800 x 600 pixel display, but we recommend higher resolutions.
Sun Clock version 6 is exactly the same as Sun Clock version 6.5 except that the map in version 6 does not change with the seasons. This difference makes the size of the download file considerably smaller (2.6 Mb).
Occasionally countries decide to change their time zones. Sun Clock will only work correctly if it has the most up-to-date time zone data. In North America, for example, the time zones were changed in March 2007. To download the latest time zone data file click here and copy the file, timezone.bin, to the directory where you have installed Sun Clock, typically "C:\Program Files\Map Maker\Sun Clock\Version 6".
Alternatively, you can download and install the current version of Sun Clock which includes the latest time zone data.
Sun Clock 6 can be configured to languages other than English. The following translations have kindly been donated by Sun Clock users:
